Helen Valls Medal

In 2024 we received a substantial bequest in the will of Helen Valls, who taught (and ran UKLO) in Richard Huish College in Taunton. In Helen’s honour, and in recognition of this donation, we have established the Helen Valls Medal for the  competitor who gets the highest score in the Advanced competition of Round 1.

The winners of this medal are the following. Well done, all!!

  • 2025-6: Sridatta Bhamidipati (Manchester Grammar School) – also Honourable Mention (2025) at the IOL.
  • 2024-5:  Zachary Yen (Winchester College) – also Bronze (2024) and Silver (2025) at the IOL.
